One question that we have enjoyed revisiting here - more like an Ali Baba's cave for general linguistics than a Pandora's box for dialectology, as a related science, but one that would have the vocation to share the typological Olympus with general linguistics - is none other than the one once posed by Uriel Weinreich: "is a structural dialectology possible? It seems, from the contributions gathered here, that not only is such a project possible, but that it holds the keys that open the doors to an empirical horizon that goes far beyond the ordinary corpus of data available to theoretical and descriptive linguistics: the horizon of the diversity internal to the diversity of languages. The diversity of diversity, at the threshold of empirical complexity. Fortunately, the simplexity of the principles and parameters underlying this (hyper)diversity is in no way different from or less accessible than that which has allowed the study and typological characterisation of singular languages as monads.
With this collection on Diasystemic Modelling, we had no other ambition than to provide not a single key, but a whole set of keys opening the doors to this research horizon, while transcending the vain quarrels between structuralism and generativism - those two enemy brothers scientifically made to get along, but politically lost in a futile debate.
Une question que nous avons eu plaisir à revisiter ici – davantage comme une caverne d’Ali Baba pour la linguistique générale que comme une boîte de Pandore pour la dialectologie, en tant que science connexe, mais qui aurait vocation à partager l’Olympe typologique avec la linguistique générale – n’est autre que celle posée jadis par Uriel Weinreich : « une dialectologie structurale est-elle possible ? ».
Il semble bien, à lire les contributions réunies ici, que non seulement un tel projet est possible, mais qu’il détient les clés qui ouvrent les portes d’un horizon empirique dépassant de loin le corpus ordinaire des données disponibles pour la linguistique théorique et descriptive : l’horizon de la diversité interne à la diversité des langues. La diversité de la diversité, au seuil de la complexité empirique. Fort heureusement, la simplexité des principes et des paramètres sous-jacents à cette (hyper)diversité n’est en rien différente ni moins accessible que celle qui a permis l’étude et la caractérisation typologique des langues singulières, comme autant de monades.
Avec ce recueil sur la Modélisation Diasystémique, nous n’avons eu d’autre ambition que de fournir non pas une seule clé, mais tout un trousseau de clés ouvrant les portes vers cet horizon de recherches, tout en transcendant les vaines querelles entre structuralisme et générativisme – ces deux frères ennemis scientifiquement faits pour s’entendre, mais politiquement égarés dans un débat futile.

Na podlagi tukaj zbranih prispevkov se zdi, da je tak projekt ne le mogoč, ampak da ima tudi ključe, ki odpirajo vrata empiričnemu horizontu, ki daleč presega običajni korpus podatkov, ki so na voljo teoretičnemu in deskriptivnemu jezikoslovju: horizontu raznolikosti, ki je notranja raznolikosti jezikov. Raznolikost raznolikosti na pragu empirične kompleksnosti. Na srečo se preprostost načel in parametrov, na katerih temelji ta (hiper)raznolikost, v ničemer ne razlikuje ali ni manj dostopna od tiste, ki je omogočila preučevanje in tipološko karakterizacijo singularnih jezikov kot monad.
S to zbirko o diasistemskem modeliranju nismo imeli drugih ambicij, kot da ponudimo ne en sam ključ, temveč cel niz ključev, ki odpirajo vrata v to raziskovalno obzorje, hkrati pa presegamo jalove prepire med strukturalizmom in generativizmom - tema dvema sovražnima bratoma, ki se znanstveno lahko razumeta, politično pa sta se izgubila v jalovi razpravi.
